How a run works

Route. Fan out. Verify.

  1. 01

    You describe. The lead routes.

Type what you want, or paste a screenshot of the bug. The lead agent can't edit files itself; its whole job is briefing the right specialists precisely. Type it, or paste a screenshot. The lead briefs specialists; it never edits files itself.

  2. 02

    Specialists work in parallel.

Independent tasks fan out at once: the scaffolder builds the endpoint while the refactorer clears dead code. Every step streams into the crew overview, live. Independent tasks fan out at once, streaming into the crew overview live.

  3. 03

    A reviewer signs off.

Every change ends with the code-reviewer re-reading the diff against what was asked and issuing a verdict: clean, or findings you hand straight back as the next run. The code-reviewer re-reads the diff against the ask and returns a verdict.

Product Studio

Describe a product. Ship it.

One idea in. PRD, backlog, a preview you approve, real code, tests, deploy. Out.

pdf docs at every stage · priced per token, image, minute · autonomous mode available

The Studio pipeline: PRD, Backlog, Preview, Build, Ship, with the PRD stage active.

Brain

Give the crew a memory of your product.

A knowledge graph of your product: opt-in, per workspace, local to your Mac.

  • Ingests docs, repos, web pages and pasted text
  • You approve every node before it lands
  • Grounds each chat turn automatically, and silently
  • Any specialist can query it mid-task
  • Search, filter and edit it, or leave it “dreaming” to surface unstated ideas
Brain’s knowledge graph, with doc, code, web, idea and flow sources feeding it.

Questions

Ask like a skeptic

What exactly is Squads?

A macOS app. Under the hood it bundles an open-source, MIT-licensed agent runtime and loads it with our curated crew: 37 specialist agents and 26 playbooks across engineering and marketing, fronted by a lead agent that routes work and closes every change with a review. You point it at a repo and talk to the crew. Two add-ons build on that: Product Studio runs a full idea-to-deployed-product pipeline, and Brain gives the crew a knowledge graph of your product it consults on every turn. Each is its own pricing tier; see the pricing section above.

What's Product Studio?

A second mode inside the app, for when you're starting something new rather than fixing something existing. Describe a product (typed, spoken, or a pile of docs you drop in) and the crew runs it through a delivery pipeline: PRD, backlog, a live clickable preview you sign off on, then real code, tests, and a deploy. Included on the Crew + Studio and All tiers.

What's Brain?

An opt-in, per-workspace knowledge graph. Point it at your docs, repos, and web pages and it builds a graph of your product that every chat prompt gets grounded against automatically. It's a separate local process that runs only on your Mac; it doesn't change where your code or your model key goes. Included on the Crew + Brain and All tiers.

Do I need my own API key?

Yes. The license buys the app; the models run on your own account with any of 180+ providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, and the long tail. Your key stays on your Mac and is only ever sent to the provider you picked. Model usage is between you and them.

Where does my code go?

It stays on your Mac. The runtime is a local process; there's no Squads cloud. Prompts and the file content the agents read go to your chosen model provider, the same as any AI coding tool, and nowhere else.

Mac only?

For now, yes: Apple Silicon and Intel builds. Windows and Linux come when enough people ask; email us and be counted.

What's the difference between the four tiers?

Crew is the base: the crew chat, 37 specialists and 26 playbooks, routed by a lead agent, every change closed by a reviewer's verdict. Crew + Studio adds Product Studio, the idea-to-deployed-product pipeline. Crew + Brain adds Brain, a per-workspace knowledge graph every chat turn gets grounded against automatically. All includes both add-ons.

How does annual billing work?

One charge a year, at 11x the monthly price, so the 12th month is free. It renews automatically each year while you stay subscribed; cancel by email anytime and access runs to the end of the period you paid for.

How is it delivered?

Your license key appears on screen the moment payment clears and arrives in your welcome email; paste it into the app on first launch. The Mac app downloads straight from the site. No DRM: the key renews itself automatically while your subscription stays active, and locks if it lapses.

Can I switch tiers or billing later?

Yes. Email support@agentlyai.dev to move between Crew and Crew + Brain, or between monthly and annual, and we'll sort out the switch. Models bill you directly through your own provider account on every plan; Squads never sits between you and your key.
